Press release...

My latest work is a 1953 Studebaker with Corvette Z-06 chassis and NASCAR engine for a Canadian customer. This is a car for LaCarrerra Panamerica and autocross, track driving and it also will compete in Arizona speed events.

Est top speed 185-195 MPH
Est 1/4 mile: 10.5 sec with street tires, 9.8 with slicks

Natural aspirated NASCAR engine with no restrictor 775 HP on 98 octane pump gas and 950 HP / 8500 RPM in full race trim. Chassis, brakes, rear, front axles modified 2006 Z-06 Corvette, fuel cell tank. Flat undercarrige with hidden diffusors for ground effect, reducing lifting force. Body
panels in carbon fibre, with original looks on chrome trim.

Interior: Full NASCAR style cage with original looking fabrics on Sparco racing seats, and 6 point belts Wheels, in street version BBS 20´ Wings will be added for high-speed events, but not for street driving.

These are all just CGI though. Notice how each car is different.

Can't wait to see the finished product though. Looks like its gonna be incredible.

awesome, I love that thing.

It reminds me of when I was about 10yo growing up in Philly and the older guy (~20yo) up the street had one like that with mild body mods, nosed & decked aka "shaved", frenched lights front and back, with a mildly worked 327 Chevy in it, nice dual exhaust sound every time he drove past my house. I've been looking at Studebakers of that vintage to do something with, I love the lines of the car.

What does it mean when the front and back is shaved? And frenched lights as well?

"shaved" and the "nosed" and "decked" terms refer to similar effects used to clean up the lines and details of a car; say you remove the door handles from the outside of the door and smooth the bodywork in that area so it looks like it has no door handles (usually a button under the rocker panel opens the door or something like that); nosed is removing any chrome or other trim from the front hood area and smoothing that area over; decked is doing that to the trunk lid. Frenched lights, or other parts, refers to extending the body work over the area where the chrome ring might be around a headlight and smoothing it into the bodywork so a clean body line extends right up the the very outer edge of the light assembly.

I think this car above is just near perfect the way it is, I'm not saying to do any of that to this one, I was just remembering one from my past. The overall design has to be cohesive and integrated and the one above is so good just the way it is.
