2009 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4
The new 552 horsepower at 8000 rpm, 398 pound-feet of torque at 6500 horsepower Lamborghini's latest supercar blasts from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. The quarter mile comes just a few beats later in just 11.4 seconds at 126.9 mph. Both numbers are pretty far off the pace of Lamborghini's estimates of 3.7 and 11.8 seconds. Not only is the LP560-4 much faster and more powerful, it's also greener. By virtue of a strict diet, heavy ECU tuning, and the miracles of direct injection and advanced lubricants, Lamborghini claims the Gallardo's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced by some 18 percent. By the company's own calculations, the Gallardo returns a respectable (for a supercar, anyway) 11 mpg in the city, and a jaw-dropping 23 mpg on the highway.

So to reiterate, the $201,000, 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 will go from 0-60 in under 3.5 seconds, hit a top speed of 202 mph hour, and get over 20 miles per gallon on the highway.

I don't know if it's the original, but the article is from another person's blog and that article is much longer.

I would love to see how it compares against the almighty GT-R. This Lambo has the speed to compete, what about its handling? And wow, 23mpg on the highway is not bad at all!.

If someone's gonna bring up the GT-R, I'll go ahead and ask.... hows it gonna compare to the ZR1? Predicted to be 15/23 city/highway with 638 hp and 604 lb/ft.

lol, the GT-R is a big gas guzzler! Best Motoring got 120-130km out of 70L of gas, but 3/4 of that was for track racing :P

i doubt the GTR gets less than 5 MPG. it must be an error. specially considering its a V6 lol with under 500HP and 500 ft-lbs.

I doubt it as well. I don't know of any twin-turbo V6s being THAT thirsty. I was just going by the numbers in the previous post.

Also, the GT-R has already been dynoed and it actually hits above 500 in both categories.

lol, well, the video does say 3/4 of that tank of gas was used for racing on a track. In daily driving I'm sure it will do much better than 5mpg. Also that engine is underrated and afterall, the GT-R is close to 4000lbs! Honestly, I was quite surprised though.
