1/4 Scale replica engines...That run...

http://www.replicaengines.com/

Replica Engines recreates notable internal combustion engines in 1/4 scale that are fully operational. All of our engines are four cycle, spark ignition and are equipped with all of the functional components of their full size counterpart such as the oil pump, water pump, fuel pump, etc..

Pretty freaking cool if you ask me, but the price is on average $6000

Yeah, I've seen those before it's pretty damn sweet they actually really do sound like real V8's.

I kinda like this guy's work better though: http://www.conleyprecision.com/

Checkout this 1/4 scale working Viper engine he built: http://www.conleyprecision.com/1_4_s...-10_engine.htm

And for the price he's selling it at you could buy three Viper's.

The price on that Viper engine is just ridiculous. You can have 3 of the real thing or ONE of these engines and change left over? You'd think it would be priced for a Viper owner to purchase.

Yeah, I know what you mean. He says the original plans were destroyed but IMO it still wouldn't make it worth what he's asking for it.

I wish I had the skills and patience to build something like that.

This may be a repost, but certainly is fitting for this thread. Here's a video (1.2MB, right-mouse->Save Target As) of a fully operational 1/5 scale Ferrari 312PB that Top Gear did a review of a few years ago.

That thing is amazing!

I don't know what I'd rather have, a real Ferrari or that little one.

Yeah that clip is old, but still phenomenal. I wish they madde micro dynos to test the power of these engines, to see if the power output is also to scale!

Although it is cool as shit, I'd rather buy a real engine for the same price.
