A perfect fit is the #1 variable in a crash.

Oh, and realize you will be spending A LOT more on gear. Boots, gloves, jackets, suits, helmets are all expendable and wear over time. The amount of I've spent on gear is more than my motorcycles if that tells you something.

I see we haven't really gotten through to you.

Firstly, get a USED motorcycle. Especially for your first bike.

Secondly, get something other than a 600. They don't call those Super Sports for nothing.

I suggest a Ninja 250. Don't scoff. It redlines at 14,000 and they use those for racing (much like how F1 drivers start on Kart). If you want a little bit more oomph, go with a Ninja 500.

Actually you have knocked some sense into me. I spoke with one of my buddies today and said he would sell me his 05' for $4,500.

05 what? Your 26 and have kids. You'd think you'd have more sense to do more research on sportbikes.

please...PLEASE

get a smaller bike if u r a beginner..at least starts from a 600
i've seen too many kids jump right on to liter bike and kill themselves.

and i would have stick w/ 750 instead of 1000
1000 is a bit too much on twistys.
plus u can save a bunch money for the right gear.
