08 Cts

What to do???
I have been thinking seriously about replacing my 06 with the 08 caddi CTS.
I enjoy my car, but have been annoyed by torque steer and other disadvantages of FWD. New CTS= 304-horse, 273-lb-tq 3.6-liter V-6 with direct injection, and more importantly rwd! A ton of other cool things like a 40gb hdd too...

What do you guys think? ha well of course your going to say keep the TL but why??

Check out Motortrend for more info: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests..._cts/index.html

Personally, I would keep the TL. It's looks as if you've made a lot of modifications to it, and I'm sure it will serve you well for a few years yet. That being said, The 08' CTS would definitely be on my short list if I was looking for a moderately priced sedan. The reviews have all been favourable and it's one of the few new cars that I actually like from GM.

Perception hasn't caught up with reality yet.

I would take a moment to think about how long you plan to keep the CTS. If it's 3 years or less, then don't do it. You'll lose your ass. If you plan to pay it off in 5 years then it's not a bad decision.

That TL is nice but the Caddy could very well be in a whole different league. It's definitely MUCH bigger. As I've mentioned elsewhere I followed one for a few minutes the other day and the car is beautiful in every proportion.

i've owned nothing but honda/acura and my father has been selling honda/acura for years now - so it's easy to see why i'm biased toward the make. however, i'm currently a sales consultant at arnold palmer cadillac, and after driving the cts around all the time ... I'M IMPRESSED. tl or cts, i don't know anymore

some quick figuring here, with a 7k down payment, 12k mile a year, you could lease a base CTS 6spd manual for 36 months 181.02 a month. At three years youd pay $13516.72. Having this in my drive way for three years for $13.5k is very tempting, i just love this car!

Never plunk a down payment on a lease. Convert it to a $0 down lease, and the numbers are $415.40 for 36 months. I would say, not a bargain for a base CTS.

well i was thinking of trading the TL....I much less than its worth, so my down payment would come from that. I wouldn't want the base either, I'm looking for an upgrade ie: the direct injection motor!

You do have a very nice TL tough. So, either way, I think you win.

The new CTS looks amazing. The country club I work at had one roll in as it's "Hole-in One" Car for a Charity event! It looked astonishing in red. Too bad no one got a hole in one!

personally, i'd keep the tl until the 2009 cts comes out. that gives gm enough time to fix/alter any issues that may pop up with this new caddy
