Those cars *resemble* a Scion tC and a Celica. But thats about the only thing that have in common with a Scion tC and a Celica.

technically you could stick any body on it...

Ah, "captain obvious"

Sorry but calling them by their fiberglass shell names and announcing a trap speed and elapsed time as if thats what the car ran sounds stupid to me.

The top fuel drag cars dont even go by that... they go by sponser name since they are all basically the same.

anyway... good times none the less.

Some say the Cobra's internals can withstand 1000hp before the stock internals start to fail. Remember the Terminator Cobra's engine has forged con rods, pistons, crankshaft etc. it's built to take a hell of a beating.

back to the original thread.. I love the Z06 as I've probably stated here 1000x. The exhaust sound is amazing as well. The butterfly valves open up at high rev's and really let it wail. Amazing car for the $$

it's DownUnder's fault it was brought up in this thread, and I think that's a common knowledge.

I just said I think the Cobra is still an amazing car with lots of potential even though it got slaughtered by a $70K Z06 which was expected.

And it was your fault to begin with anyways. :p

Is that what that annoying whiny sound was. I thought it was a new high HP hybrid.

I expect that from an import, but not American Muscle.

yeah... I knew too. I forgot about it though when someone asked whether the Cobra was modded... it is obviously modded.

the sound is a total giveaway.

The Cobra was probably lightly modded...pulley, chip and exhaust. You guys don't understand...I've heard a stock Z06..that one is not stock exhaust...does it matter, long tube headers give the Z06 50HP!!! so it does. The curb weight of a Cobra with 2 people is probably about 4100lbs. The Z06 is 3100lbs. 1000 pounds makes a difference! The Z06 is probably the most balanced sports car ever...especially for the money...so I'm not taking anything away from it at all....but I've seen a few KB Cobras that would walk a Z06...and still have $20Gs to get a nice 2nd car...its all in what you want I guess! With that said...I want a Z06!
