'06 Honda Accords?

Anyone heard much about the '06 Accords?? If you have one or know anything about it, please tell me. Or point me the right direction for research.

My car is for sale because of my job that requires me to get a more economical and reliable car while retaining the space, well, adding space so I have decided to get an Accord. The one I picked is the 4-cylinder EX with leather. The sticker price is $25.5k but I am hoping I'll be able to talk down to $23.5 plus TTL. Is it possible??

Again, if anyone knows anything or a website or something. It would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

All i know is they are typical accords, reliable etc. I don't know of any major problems and the 4 cyl gets good milage. I am not very up to date on pricing but there were minor changes in 06 but it is near the end of the gen so you should be able to get a deal and have less reliablity issues

curious, how much would a 06 accord V6 EX w/o navi cost? would it be 30k? what about a TL w/o navi?

cause im convinced that my roommates sister got ripped off he doesnt think so, i also found it funny that they were decideing between the accord and TL, he was saying that she could afford the TL but thought the extra power and features in the TL didnt justify the extra cost.

what im thinking is that she got the accord for 30k and if you can get a TL non-navi for around 30k might as well went for the TL

accord is about 6 grand cheaper.

with navi
($35940 MSRP vs. $29850 MSRP)

if it isn't for the badge and the styling, TL doesn't worth that much money than the accord.

but styling is everything. accord is fugly.

I bought the EX-V6 6MT, and I love it. The fuel economy is EXCEPTIONAL. Driving moderately, I'm getting slightly better than the ratings. And my car only has 1350km on it so far.

Oh, and get the manual, you won't regret it. It's a pleasure to drive, and the clutch is low effort so your foot won't get tired in traffic. The seats are some of the best I've sat in in that class of car. The perforated leather on the EX-V6 6MT is nicer than the other stuff though. For pics see my thread on it in car talk.

yea i got one after i wrecked my 1G TL...'06 NBP Accord Coupe, I4 EX-Cloth, got it for about 20.5k+Tax License, so about 22-23k OTD. Love the car, great gas mileage(about 25-26mpg mixed driving, only got 3k on the odo), only thing i regret is not getting manual... but thats another story on why i couldn't get it... although you might miss the slight increase in power when going to the I4 from an I5 but all in all, love the car, great purchase, and listen to YoungTL, and get a manual

Thanks guys!! After putting my car on Autotrader for ONE day, I've already got an offer to buy so my car will be gone this Sunday. I pretty much have my heart set on getting an auto because I drive mostly in-city driving and racking up to 500 miles a week will just cause more pain to my left leg in addition to stocking cookies 8 to 10 hours a day. lol. The power change...ready for it! I went from a '98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9Limited to a '99 4.7L Limited to a '96 5.0L Explorer Eddie Bauer to a '96 3.2TL to now...an '06 2.4L Accord . Yeah...totally ready! But in all seriousness, the 4 banger Accord I test drove was pretty peppy! Feels very responsive, better than the Acura. I guess 10 years can change a whole lot of things.

I'll be working this weekend so I can't go to the dealer and buy the car but I definitely have to do it within the next couple of weeks because I'll be going to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg in 3 weeks (company paid ) and I want to take the new car instead of a 250k-mile '90 Accord, which is what I'll be driving in the mean time. Oh man, I'm psyched!!!!!!!!

Ok...side track for a second. Since he and I will be making the exchange this sunday, should I worry about him driving the car with my plate since DMV doesn't open on weekends?? What should I do to prevent being my liability? Weekdays are nice, but he nor I have any time because he's got a 9 to 5 and I have 8 til whenever jobs. I really need advice on this one. Anyone have gone through a similar situation??

But...but...but...the clutch is sooooooo easy! Almost all of my drive is city, sometimes for 1-2 hours and I never get tired of it! The manual is a joy to shift and will put a smile on your face EVERY DAY. Seriously consider it. At least drive it back to back with the auto. If you thought the response in the auto was good...

$30k for an Accord with no Navi = kiss my ass. These cars are getting pricey. I bought my 2000 EX V6 coupe new for $22,900 +++. I don't think I'd pay more than $20,500 for an I4 EX. My sister has an LX I4 and it has a nice peppy engine for city driving. K series is

Neh, not my type. Plus, for the same price, I get XM, leather and all the goodies on the Accord while probably none of those on the Camry.

Camry 4 cylinder 5-speed automatic SE get the following :
6-in-dash disc, 8 speakers with MP3/WMA capability, sattellite radio and Aux-Input, bluetooth

price wise, it's around the same.. but depends on how negotiatioins goes.. i personally like toyota's built quality better than honda's

the new camry includes more than what accord does.. stop the biased thoughts and do some research both camry and accord...

Well, everone has their opinions but I am no way ignorant. Yes, you're right about the features, but the looks just isn't right for me. I've always liked the Accord's styling over the Camry's, even the new ones. Plus, negotiations should be better with the Accord than the Camry. I know when the '05 Odysseys came out in September, I couldn't get them to go maybe $200 under MSRP (I negotiated for my parents) so why would I expect Toyota to give me any deals especially on a brand new model?

You should be able to buy any 06 Accord for at least $500-600 under invoice plus incentives. You can get new Camry's at invoice.

Hmmm...gives me something to think about. I was gonna just go for the invoice price but I'll definitely talk lower than the invoice and see how that goes. Thanks for the tip!!

yohan, I'm getting the EX-L. It's now stickers at $25.5. Like I said at my first post, I'm hoping that I'll talk down to $23.5 but I'm gonna try go push that number lower.

always start from below invoice for accord/camry class cars... there are tons of tips on this site... but yea... seems like you can go under 23k on this car considering invoice is slighly over 23k

go talk to fleet manager or someone.. go through all the talking with someone who has power to decide and not have to go through upper management people.. much easier and deal done quite quickly

i got an '06 LX-V6 Accord sedan end of Jan and got it for just below invoice, something like $22,9K before taxes and stuff. we were considering the EX-4cyl or LX-SE as well, but settled on a V6. we get about 26mpg driving everyday in rush hour. usually, the LX-V6 will have some kind of factory to dealer incentive...check Edmunds.com.
