06 350z Buying Experience

Any of you know anyone who recently purchased an 06 Z? I just want to know ~how much they got off MSRP. I was looking on edmunds, and it seems that it is possible to get one for ~26-7 OTD. That being the case I believe if I can find an 05 that's left over I can get a good deal on it. TIA

When I got my Z, I had great service dealing w/ the dealership's internet sales department. ( fleet services) No hassles at all. Easiest car buying experience I had.

I've been hearing a lot about that also. It's hassle free, but is the final bottom line price worth it?

easiest I had was when I bought my ZR from a dealer in PA. on ebay. Flew one way to Allentown, got picked up at airport, gave them a cashier's check, programmed the nav and headed for Bflo!

Yeah, the price was worth it. I got an '03, and at the time, the dealerships were still selling them @ $5k over msrp. I ended up getting it for $1500 under. I would imagine you can get a better deal now.

Seems good. I just found an 04 enthusiast auto with 13.3k miles for 22.9k. That doesn't seem like a bad deal. It also seems like I can get the dealer down a bit on it. I fig somewhere between 21 and 22 but who knows. I'll keep you all posted.

test drive the 04's and 05's

The clutch was changed (in 05's i believe), and supposedly its much less labor-intensive than it used to be

Do whatever you can to stay away from the Phoenix Nissan dealers. They are scum.

I was one signature away from buying a Maxima until the douchebag sales guys pissed me off so much I walked out on them and bought an Acura instead.

I had to change my voicemail to say "If this is Brown and Brown Nissan leave me the fuck alone"....they were calling 5+ times per DAY even after I told them I bought another car. Scum. Pure fucking scum.

Sorry for the rant.

those idiots still call/email to this day about buying a nissan titan from when my mom was interested back in 05!
Best part about this deal is the Z is located at a Honda Dealership. No need to worry about clutch because the car is auto

What did homeboy do to piss you off?

I was buying this Maxima and I was done with everything, but I told the guy I wanted to run the whole deal by my dad before I finished everything (I was 23, first car purchase, etc). I told him I'd be back in a couple hours.

He started giving me shit about it, saying I didn't need to talk to my dad, then saying I should just use his office phone. When i said no he said I would have to sign something to 'lock in the rates'. I said fine, but I'm not signing anything that says I am definitely buying the car until I talk to my father. He said no no its nothing like that, it just guarantees the price.

I said fine, and he brings me this sheet of paper to sign. I look at the fine print...it says 'by signing this you are committing to the purchase of this vehicle. This is a non retractable legally binding blah blah blah'.

I point to this and say I'm not signing this, he says ohhhh wrong form sorry. When he got up I just picked up all my shit and left. As I was driving out he actually chased me on foot through the parking lot

you should have ran over his foot hahahaha. And I know, boo on auto, but it's going to be a DD. That is, if I don't sell the 240SX. We shall see.

the 04 was sold before I could make it to the dealership. However, I was offered 26.5 for a new enthusiast. I should be heading over to the dealer tomorrow

I recently got a 06 Touring. I worked it out to about $800 below invoice after a lot of negotiation. This was my second Z from the same dealer which made a big difference in my ability to negotiate.

Stay away from used 03 models and early model year 04's. I had an 03 and it was nothing but problems from the tires, transmission and other little bugs.

My 06 is great - it feels more refined, well put together and the 300hp "rev-up" engine is great. The only issue is that the 06 model is close over 100lbs heavier (from the improved interior, additional sound absorbing materials etc..) than the 03-05 models so if you are planning on racing it, an older model is preferable

I actually went to one dealer today. 26,500 + TTL for an 06 enthusiast auto. Below invoice, but I have shitty credit and will get reamed in the in. I have to convince my mom to cosign
