How does this sound, 2005 RL with 5000miles asking $42,000 @ the local Acura Dealer .... I wonder that i could get it for if i was going to pay cash.

F900, you know we have an RL forum, right ?

In the "RL owner sign in" thread, people have listed purchase prices of 41-44 lately...

I'm assuming that's for new, but the final price could always be influenced by a trade in

dealers dont really care if u're paying cash or not....i think they're actually more leaniant(sp?) on the price if u finance

but like everyone else says, u can prolly work them down a bit on the pricing...good luck

Yes i know about the RL fourm i guess i should pay it a visit lol... The car is not for me its for my dad in Ireland. I don't want to finance it as i dont need the credit and can just pay for it with cash. My dad will be here 3months of the year (late 60th birthday gift) so i would like him to have a nice car to drive around in while he is here, and for the rest of the time i can store it in our Hangar as there is plenty of space there.

Its really a toss up between the new Lexus GS300 and the RL......

Thanks.............

That's pretty sweet that you have a hangar and you're willing to purchase a nice ass RL to be used for 3 months out of the year. And you are a great son!

Even if you can pay cash for it your better off financing, the finance companies often give dealerships money for selling financing(even the automobile manufacturer's). So finance it and then pay the whole thing off the first month, just make sure there is no penalty for doing so when you sign the paper work - on a car loan there typically isn't.
