IS300 is my favorite sedan design of all time so I'd go with that and mod it (however I own a Jeep for the snow). The only thing stopping me from buying an IS300 three years ago was insurance rates. I'm happy with my supercharged TSX.

having driven both and at the time i drove it i was 18... i HATED the is300 ... i kept my 2000 maxima (at the time) over the IS after driving it. it was so small, the interior looked like a toy, it rode very smooth, but was slow as shit, if i had the choice of an 04 tl at the time i would have jumped on it. what are your priorities for driving?

i enjoy power, but comfort, technology, and practicality outweigh mod potential. for the same price look at what you got with your tl over the IS... bluetooth, dvd audio, heated leather, 258 hp, a full size sedan, above average gas mileage for the performance it gives you.

you would have to spend thousands to make the IS a performance contender, and after all of that where is your comfort? afterall getting to and from school, work, etc. isnt a race lol.

ok well first off you are on a acura board asking what car is better well i could have told you what all these guys would say. before they said it... but what u must think about is the TL is FAIL WHEEL DRIVE and the IS rwd... so thats one to the IS. second the IS uses the bullet proof 2JZ the acura dont, thats 2-0 IS. third u dont have to fix the Lexus every other day, 3-0 IS and the mpgs.... who cares the IS is way more fun to drive then the tl, more comfy, handels better, doesnt ride like a skate board. 4-0 IS o and lets not get into the potential.... the expensive civic doesnt have nearly as much potential then the IS because its Fail wheel drive,5-0 IS.... 2JZ FTW!!!

The only thing he said that I agree with is that the opinions are rather bias as this is a site for Acura enthusiasts. But to IS300driver or whatever your name is, go join a Lexus site and spout off there next time.

I remember reading that even full size adults can't fit into the backseat of the IS. That's real comfy. Also, the interior of that car is pathetic at worst and mediocre at best. Yeah, the gauges are neat, but that's it. It doesn't look any nicer than a Corolla. In contrast, the 3g TL was lauded for it's interior. It was compared to the best Audi's when it first came out.
