This past weekend, I drove to Richmond from NYC in my parents 03 Accord EX. It has ~2500 miles on it and is otherwise brand new.

I have to say, the car rattled almost as bad as my old CL. The driver and passenger side windows rattled, even when all the way up, the windsheild creaked over bumps, and the dashboard had an occasional rattle which started for no reason (not even over bumps).

The thing that scares me is that this car is almost brand new. What's going on with Honda lately? The old old American cars I used to drive didn't even rattle as much.

Otherwise, the car is superb, but I just feel like the build quality leaves something to be desired.

 

USA made? or is it made in Canada?

 

Made in Ohio.. I guess that's probably a major reason

 

My '03 EXV6 sedan drives great without any of the problems that you're parents car has. Maybe they need to bring it back to the dealer.

 

I beg to differ. My 99 Accord has yet to develop a rattle nor do I hear much about other 6G Accords rattling.

However, the 2K3 Accord is a brand new/redesigned Accord, so it'll probably be prone to having "bugs" that'll be worked out in subsequent model years. Caveat: never buy a car in its first year of production.

 

Car is going back to the dealer on Friday to check out the rattles and other assorted strange noises
