Thanks, fuzzy. I didn't actually cut anything yet. I just removed the bumper end-caps. They basically wrapped around the front bumper and then formed part of the front fender flares, just like the back ones. I had to take off the fender flares cause the tires will destroy them as soon as you turn the front wheels hard. I plan to trim the fenders, then we'll see about the bumper.

Here's some updated pics from my little excursion last Thursday...
And here's one of my best friend's Toy and mine. This was the first time his rig has been out of the garage in the last 4 months. His has about 8" of lift sitting on 37" ProComp tires, just like mine. Makes mine look like a tiny little thing though.

Nice pics LD
Im quite jealous of where you live
There are only two legal places to go offroading within a decent driving distance from here and they are pay per day offroad parks. Other than that you have the occasional dirt road through some state game land.

Nice thing is I'll be close to GA so maybe I'll find some places up there to go.

Tailpipe can stay or go, looks ok either way to me
Did you regear with those new tires?
I would be afraid to do fender trimming on a rig that nice. Maybe lift it some more, or get smaller tires.

I'm not going to lift her anymore than she already is right now. And as for the tires... Well, I just spent a small fortune on them so they're keepers. My friend has a real steady hand so I'm probably going to let him do the cutting. Yeah, I am a bit nervous to do it though. Unfortunately it's necessary to run tires this large.

Oh, I guess I forgot to answer... I am running stock gears at this time. When I decide to run 35's, then I will re-gear. right now I'm running 3.55's I believe. It is actually quite drivable really. I was surprised.

Off the subject, I'm very pleased with Project XJ's capabilities right now. I am however, kind of disapointed in myself for not taking everyone's advice and not going with the Rubicon Express Superflex kit. I love the way the TeraFlex kit rides on and off-road but damn... I've had the Jeep back in the shop 3 times now due to clucking, knocking, and rattle sounds from the front end. In my personal opinion, their lower control arms (LCA's) are shit and they are the cause of all the racket. It seems like every time I take it off-road, I have to take it in for some stupid noise it makes after that. It's getting really old, fast. I've just about had it with the dude that has done all the work. I don't know if it's him or the kit but one thing's for sure... I've spent a grip of money to have all of this done (at his supposed stupid "experienced" reccomendations), and it should be able to take me to the trails w/o an issue, wheel all weekend, and then give me a nice cruise home without a hitch. So far, that remains to be seen. This past weekend was great but when I got close to home, I started noticing a new rattle from the front end when I went over the slightest bumps. I know it's all from the kit too because one of his jobs while doing the installation was to check the rest of my front end for any wear and tear. He told me everything looked good including all my stock bushings. I realize that with a suspension system like this, I should expect some odd noises from time to time but this is getting rediculous. You guys should have heard the noise it was making last time and I hadn't even had it off road yet. It sounded like my front end was about to fall off when I hit a bump just right. It was freakin' scary. It was of course, my LCA's. I'm hoping I'll have all the bugs worked out sonner than later.

Ditto!!
I owned an 02 & 03 WJs, both 4x4s. I had problems w/ motor on the power windows (repalced 3 of them). Neutral safety swith , PCM and just annoying ass rattles.
Right now I am looking to get either a TJ or Cherokee
