Thought I had remembered you saying you would never sell it but that picture had me wondering. Glad to hear you still have it. Looks good rolling.
it's going to go under a major overhaul one of these days. I originally had planned that vs buying another car. But I think it's going to happen sooner then later. Although I'm currently looking for a 37/38 buick to chop and turn into a tail dragger. But if I don't do that the suburban will come first. Gonna redo the frame and bag it so it'll hit the ground and redo the interior.
But......kind of dead set on doing something like this first:

Wow that looks stunning. I vote you do the addition first. Your going to need a seperate garage building somewhere now. Regardless what you choose to do first I am sure they will both look amazing. Can't wait to see the builds.
Rotor upgrade will have to wait but yeah, definitely getting rid of that yellow. Not sure why the previous owner did that since nothing on the car is yellow
Also may or may not be measuring things for a custom set of wheels
Truth
The only color the Mystic paint doesn't flash and he painted them that color ha ha. I guess I missed where you picked this car up. Very, very cool car and color. I never see them anymore. Well done!
So jealous of the Canyon roads you guys have out there. Someday I need to make a two-week long trip and drive out that way and hit up some of those roads.

Waze gave us a 'shortcut' en route from Tehachapi to Anaheim to avoid going through LA. Angeles Forest Hwy, in 2 Ford Flexes. Still a fun road, though my youngest started feeling carsick by the end. Would love to go back & do it in the C.

I'll be the guide. Just let me know whenever you plan to come over for a trip.

I mean seriously?!
Just got the email that the wheels are finished and will be shipped tomorrow... so once I get tires for those and ready to mount them, I'm leaning towards a deep purple metallic. I was going to do black but figured a deep purple will be a little bit of subtle color behind the wheels versus just boring black...
I'm also dropping off the E90 M3 tomorrow for some maintenance and goodies
Picked up a set of Eibach springs and put them in on Saturday.
Before. This is just after I picked the car up last summer:

Potato shot from this afternoon:

15mm spacers in front, nothing yet in the rear. Gonna give it a week for the springs to settle, get it aligned then test fit the 15s on the rear. And wash it.
I'm pretty comfortable with how it drives. It feels more planted on the highway. I just can't speed on city streets anymore - too bumpy.
Definitely the perfect drop for a DD. Pretty sure it is just a reflection on the picture but the car looks good with the orange in the headlights cleared out too.
Pardon the dust but I was kinda excited the wheels arrived so I snapped a quick pic. I know it's just a box... full reveal once I get the tires mounted and pop them on the car. She's coming together nicely!

Can't wait to see the wheels on the car. You going to go to the event Tuesday night at GoPro? Thinking of heading up for the cheap karting prices.
The 28th? Yes, planning to be there. Hoping to have the tires mounted by then so I can do a quick photo shoot on the track. Although with the amount of traffic they get during the cruise-in I may have to do that another day. If the Mystic isn't ready I'll probably bring the E90 M3...
You have any good local tire guys with decent prices, who know fitment, and who you trust with custom wheels?
Glad you mentioned the 28th cause I for a second thought the Cruise-In was next week and not the following week. So they really do take up karting time to let people drive around the track in their cars? That seems a bit silly almost to me.
I have been going to the Discount Tire off 150 for years now. I can't remember the manager's name but he knows all my cars and always remembers me when I show up. He always puts the best guy there to do my wheels and has even been honest enough a couple of times to tell me the guy he would prefer working on my wheels is not in today and asks if I can come back the next day which I have always done. The one time they damaged a wheel they paid for a completely new lip for me as well as assembly of the three-piece wheel. I have had them do anything larger than 19s since I had my 20s on the ISF. They have done all my different set of Volks though with no marks at all on them. I still drive to Mooresville to use them when I need something done.

I think they do the little parade lap at the end of the day so it's basically when the rental karts are shutting down for the day.
As for the tires... I'll talk to my guys on Saturday at Caffeine & HP and if I can't get what I'm looking for there, I'll try that Discount Tire.
And yes, not this coming Tuesday (5/21)... that's the Little 600... but the following Tuesday (5/28) for the cruise-in
Also working on the Mystic Cobra. Got the tires installed on the new wheels! Also about to add some side splitters and a rear diffuser. Picking up high-temp paint for the calipers today as well...
The new jeeps with the top off look so much better for some reason. I don't know if it is the change to the roll structure that goes under the removal top or what.

Love those doors too.
The previous gen (JK) had roll bar padding. The door surrounds for the soft top is also different. I never removed the surrounds on the JK because I thought it looked weird without them, but removing them on the JL really cleans everything up.
I'm really impressed with the tube doors. They're chinese brand doors that I got for less than 300$ (where a pair would normally go for 400$). I got them mostly for my kids in the back, I tried the fronts to see how I liked them, but both my wife and I prefer doorless in the front
