TSX Switchblade Key
Up for sale is my uncut, brand new switchblade key. I was going to try to make it work with my CL, but I suck when it comes to electronics. You know what it looks like, but if anyone wants a picture let me know.
$60 shipped.

Unmilled. Brand friggin new. Still in packaging. I ripped the bag open though to see it.
Forgot to add, it is a Mem 1 key.

The only place I could find a listing for that key shows that it fits only 09 TSX, and the regular catalog shows the 09 TSX uses a different key from the 08 TSX and other Acuras, so it probably fits just 09 TSX. You can check with a dealer parts department to confirm this.
The key doesn't have to be milled, but it will have to be programmed to the car, which only a dealer can do, and maybe some qualified locksmiths, but I'm not sure.
Any key experts out there to add to this?

It's not plug and play for the CL. Im sure you can make it work.
Im not sure if the key will work on the older TSXs. It works with the 09 TSX, the 7th gen and 8th gen Accord, and Im sure others. I can get the FCC id for you later.
When my brother got his for his 8th gen, he brought all his keys to the dealer. They programmed the immobilizer, the keyless entry and cut the key for $90.
Hasn't this key been made to work on the older TLs? The key just needs to me milled, which I believe MrHeelToe does.

Hate to burst your bubble but this is the key you have according to that bag and it's not that expensive: http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/acura/jsp/mws/item_oem.jsp?catcgry1=TSX&n=35113-TL0-A00&d=ACURA_TSX_IMMOBILIZER_%26_TRANSMITTERKEY_(BL ANK)
All 09 TSX (2nd gen) keys run a different immobilizer chip than the 1st gen (04-08) TSX's and so will not work with the 1st gen. You can mill & cut the key to fit just about any Honda/Acura (maybe even car for that fact) if you wish but the immobilizer chip will either need to be swapped out or re-programmed (if compatible) depending on the vehicle you would like it to work with. You can always just mill and cut the key to your liking for whichever car, but would want to chk if the immobilizer is used in your vehicle and is programmable.
Milling and cutting are two different processes for those who don't know. The swapping of the chip is a lot more work than if you would just reprogram. I do not believe these will work with 07-08 TL's either but MIGHT be compatible with the 09 TL's but am not sure about that.

I based my price off of what others told me it goes for. People have said they paid over $70 at the dealer so I thought that was what I paid. I honestly don't remember what I paid for it.
Thanks for the info.
