I bought this set of rims used and bought the tires new. I've only had my car for 4 months and I had these rims for about 2-3 months now with new tires. So thread is practically new. The reason why I chose the series is that it is very very very close (if not exact) to the oem overall diameter of the tire+wheel. These Volks are semi-forged and lighter than OEM rims.

Also 3 rims have very minor nicks, one is curbed slightly more. So for repair, you should at least get that ONE repaired, unless you're a total rim fanatic (seriously it's very unnoticeable.
