SOLD! FS-TypeS THROTTLE BODY/ TypeS PARTIALLY PORTED INTAKE MANIFOLD
I recently picked up a 2001 type S motor and have a couple parts that aren't needed. There was considerable custom work done to it as it was a motor that rickcase modified in the early days, 3.5 stroker.
Up for sale is a Type S Throttle Body. The throttle body is of stock bore. The TB needs a map sensor as it was broken in the removal of the motor. They are available through the OEM online vendors. The part number needed is 37830-P8E-S00 and cost 45.00. If you have the non type s motor, your old map sensor will work as they share the same part number as the type s one.
SOLD $125.00 OBO for throttle body
Type S intake manifold which has been partially ported. The intake horn, where the throttle body bolts to, has been opened up and smoothed out. Looks good to me, I didn't try it as I have other plans. I had to give it some thought though.
This will work very well on either a NA or FI motor. The top plate will need painting. The bolts that hold the top plate of the manifold are missing. You will need to get 8 bolts at 2.00 each and 2 nuts at .60 each from the online vendor.
$230.00 OBO for intake manifold

Gains for the intake being ported?? I'd conservatively guess 2-4hp, perhaps a little more on FI. Every little bit helps. The stock manifold is very restrictive on the throttle body side, this one has been opened up nicely.
If you have the P model, I don't know what gains you could expect. There have been a few people on here that have done it, perhaps they could shed some light on it.
