SOLD! FS: Comptech Axleback Exhaust, 01-03 CL
I am selling my Comptech Axleback Exhaust. It came off of my 03 CLS-6 which have been on for about 3 years. There are no dents and are in very good condition. I do not know if the will fit any other car. I spent an hour this past weekend polishing them with Eagle metal polish. They could probably look even better if you were to use a buffing pad on a drill, but I don’t have such.
You will need to purchase new, nuts, bolts and maybe washers because I stripped the originals pretty good getting them off. I am sending the originals so you can compare. Also Comptech supplied 2 flat gaskets that go between the mufflers and B-pipe that crumbled when I took them off. The stock Honda gasket is a round ring and may work but the flat gasket is much easier to work with. All of this could probably be had at the local parts store or just call Comptech. The installation instructions (included) have the proper bolt, nut, washer sizes.
Also included are silencers and extra screws to install/uninstall. In my experience with the silencers the screws start to corrode after a month or two and need to be replaced (very simple). These will already be installed in each muffler.
I am selling because I was getting tired of the extra noise even with the silencers and wanted to go back to the stock sound. Since I was using the silencers most of the time the HP/air flow was probably equal to stock. And now that I put the stockers back on it sounds very good since I also have the Comptech B-pipe and headers.
I am asking $350 shipped from the Cincinnati area (45150) through Paypal or cash if picked up. They are currently listed new on Comptech’s website for $669.00 and the silencers are $29 each.

I just updated the pics to include a couple more shots that show the back of the car. Someone asked how far they stuck out but it is clear they are nearly the same as stock.

Cky_Cl is in the process of purchasing them. However check back later next week because the sale is pending and payment in full wont be received until next week. He gave me a down payment. I will post Sold or Still available next week, until then it is Sale Pending
