does that match the stock wood trim in a 01 TL?
and how do you install it? does it just screw on?

Sorry to bust your happy thoughts, but the 99 shaft and the 00+ shafts are different in diameter. The 99 shaft is larger, and knob won't fit 00+ cars.
(Although they have larger shafts, ours still perform better!

It will still work. I have a '99 w/ a '00 knob. I used a hand drill to make the hole larger, and the threded part of the shifter will make it's own thread in the plastic. It was a bit harder than normal to screw on, but it looks great, and does work!

TLwiz ain't a wiz... Yes, you can make the hole in the knob bigger when using a 00+ knob (skinny) on a 99 TL shaft (fat). How can you make the skinny shaft bigger on a 00+ TL to fit a 99 knob with a fat hole?? Duct tape I suppose...
