I've got an 03 with the factory fake brushed metal look. I've thought that if that was real metal, I would have probably suffered several 2nd degree burns during summer by now. During the winter, random apendages would get stuck to the metal. Also, unless it's solid, it'll almost undoubtedly warp, kink or just plain get bent with you hitting it with your knee or elbow.
Are you sure you want it? Also, it will probably cause more glare...

One of rondogs pix hshows the black wood trim, the other shows the alum trim. I guess he covered the black wood later, must have an 01 or 92 CLS.
Does the real alum match okay with the silver plastic of the 03s?
I hear the real alum is much harder to install without bending it.
