Lightbulb FS: AP Racing BBK

I have a set of 4 piston AP Racing Big Brakes.

They are new, and come with Hawk Pads, and 13" rotors.

The calipers and rotors fit on CLs, TLs, and the new RL.
These are the calipers CP5200-806S4& 807S4
http://www.apracing.com/roadcar/cali...?family=CP5200

You will need Carriers/Hats for the rotors, brackets and brake lines---the PARTS YOU NEED can be obtained through AP. They sells kits that containing the mounting hardware for almost any vehicle for less than ~$500.

The KIT retails for 2000.00 brand new

I am asking $700 for these BRAND NEW CALIPERS, ROTORS & PADS.
Shipping is not included in this price.

No low ballers or else I will sick :smitler: on you.

I don't know if they would fit a TSX or Accord, but i've seen these exact calipers on a 2gTL-S. You will need aftermarket wheels.

it's a hella good deal, but just to let u guys know...

you need 18 inch wheels for minimum clearence, these calipers are larger than my wilwood and rotoras, and +40 to 45 offset as well

i mean it's a very good deal, Robb is taking a big hit on this side, you only need hats which is around 200 dollars for both, the bracket would be around 300 for both and brakeline are 100 dollars

so u can get the whole set of AP kit for around 1300 dollars, which is same as the rotoras, but far better than any rotoras

remember...a full set orginally costs 2000-2500 dollars, so u can get it with half price

Astro,

I know this brake set will fit with 18" Volks I have ... but I can't imagine driving year round (in Windsor) with 235/40/18 tires. And getting a winter beater isn't part of the equation, either.

Good luck on the sale. C'mon -- someone in FLA, SoCal, Texas -- jump on these!

PS I'm at 100,000km and looks like I need some new pads/rotors (ie I'm still on OEM brakes).

I might be able to snag them from you but i am unsure that they will fit my car. i have a 96 3.2 TL with piaa 18x7.5 +48 wheels. I have goodridge braided lines already would these work. Also even though you said you have seeen them on 2nd gen and 3rd gen TLs did they just "plug and play" or did they modify their suspension setup ect. to accomodate. anything else do i need to have them install properly? Let me know thanks.

there were no suspension mods done to make them fit. Just correct brackets and hats for the application. I can't say whether they will fit behind teh wheel, because it's as much about spoke placement etc as it is the overall diameter.

You are able to get a hat that incorporates a wheel spacer and longer studs tho i'd imagine.

I also wanted to ask y you are selling, and how much it would be to ship to LA california 90012. also on the web site it says that they dont recomend using spacers to get the kits to fit, and my fenders can take any wider displacement but im pretty sure they would fit vertically but they might be too wide.

I believe those are 2 pieces rotors, which is interchangable...so you just need to change the center piece of the rotor to fit into any car. as long as AP makes a hat for that model. I've personally seen the exact AP brake kit fit on a TL with my very own eyes..So like Robb said..its very feasible to put this on any cars, just that you need big rims and with the right spoke placement.
and good luck with the sale robb

Is there anyway we can find out if they will fit behind the wheels, should i just call AP racing and see what they think first. and where are you located again?

I'm in Toronto.

The measurements of the Caliper and all bolt placements are available on teh AP Racing link which i posted in the initial post. You should be able to get a pretty good idea the sizing using those #'s.

I'm selling because I have had these for a couple of years and not used them. I don't even have a vehicle to use them on, i drive a 3/4ton HD pickup truck these days.

Like -Rz- said, because these are two piece full floating rotors, you are able to get a hat to fit virtually any application.

oh derrick

u can have the AP on for the summer, then take it off for teh winter so they rotors would not crack and warped in cold weather

and swapping brakes isn't that expensive

expensive? you should say it's not that hard, it's a total DiY job boys.
I can swap rotors, and calipers in ~7mins a wheel. The bleeding takes a bit longer, but again, it's not that difficult at all

they may well be better than the Spoons, and they can accept a larger rotors than the Spoons can, but they are not JDM, and i'm pretty sure Frank's car is JDM, in which case, the Spoons are the better choice

Well I called brake pros today and they said they couldnt find anything for the 96 TL and wouldnt be sure about using the parts from another honda so I dont really think the kit is going to fit my car But im going to call them again on monday when their other guys are back from SEMA and he said they might be able to figure it out. so i guess well see.
