Custom Rear Diffuser
Category: Exterior - Body Parts
Price: $110
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G
Location (State/Prov/Terr): NY
Item Condition: Used
The mounting hardware is only noticeable when you get down on the floor. From any other perspective, all you see are the diffusers, which are all you're supposed to see anyway. It also retains full use of the rear tow hook due to the cutout.
Diffuser is made entirely of high quality UHMW polyethylene that I bought from McMaster-Carr directly. UHMW has high impact and good tensile strength. It is very sturdy when mounted, just needs a repaint to make it look good up close.
I always have received great compliments from this since it really gives a really aggressive look to the rear.
I want to make a new version, and instead of scrapping it for parts, I thought someone else might enjoy it, which is why I'm selling it
Price will remain Firm: $110 shipped/ $100 local. Even though it originally cost me a little more, the price is based strictly on the value of the hardware alone. Which you can look on McM if you need reference to the value of this plastic.
I might accept trades, depending on what you offer. I don't have anything in mind, but maybe you have something of interest.

I live in Thiells NY, 10984. I don't mind meeting if it's within the county.
The car is a 2004, the diffuser will directly fit any regular bumper between 04-08 (I have a type-s bumper). I did paint it myself, but the top coat wasn't good paint to begin with so recently started coming off. The black was a primer, which held waay better.

So where does it bolt onto exactly? The bottom of the bumper?
I'm not sure if it'd look good with my base 05 ssm bumper. It looks really nice on the painted type-s bumper of yours.

Good question
It mounts to the rear under cover (the plastic part that surrounds the rear tow hook). This cover is very secure to mount to. The cover itself is very rigid when mounted; up front it bolts down to the chassis with 2 bolts, then 4 clips at the back go into the rear bumper. 2 of those 4 clips snap into metal brackets that extend down from the rear bumper beam. The aluminum brackets on the diffuser hang from the bumper right between the clips (horizontally). The aluminum brackets are kinda sandwiched between the rear under cover and the bumper.
Even though its a ghetto ass p/s lol, still looks good to me

Do you have anymore pics of it on the car? Any pics of it from straight behind and a complete side profile pic? Also from underneath to see how's installed? Sorry to be a pita lol.
