Some else asked this too. I don't have the box and don't recall seeing any numbers on the filter itself but will check again when I get home. The filter maybe has 2K miles on it..max.

Swoosh, thank you very much for looking out, man. I'm sure this one will work out just fine too, no taper but that's just slightly more surface area, I'm sure it'll work, or I'll MAKE it work.

J.

Also, decide not to rush this and ordered some header wrap to lessen the ambient heat soak from the engine bay, I know they say the air passing through doesn't have time to heat up but if it stays hot in there, it has to affect it, even if it's just a few degrees. Figured if I'm this committed to bringing the temp down on the way in, I might as well do it all the way. I ordered 15' from amazon, hope that's enough to cover the part of the tube in the engine bay.

Thanks again, and thank you Meek for the killer deal.

J.

Jer bro....DO NOT PUT THE HEADER WRAP ON THE INTAKE....

Header wrap is designed to trap heat and hence increase exhaust pulse velocity....the quicker the exhaust pulses move out the cooler the engine bay stays....the same funds on the intake side will hurt performance....

Ps: quickly posted from my cell phone....

You want to insulate the intake so the intake air stay cold....exact opposite....

Go to home depot and get some insulation....

Hmmm...looking like I wasted some money then, huh...
Well, maybe I'll use it to wrap the parts of my exhaust that were poorly welded...I used some exhaust weld stuff today to plug up any holes (I noticed condensation dripping out of one of the welds where my dynomax is welded in).

I might be wrong, but isn't a buffer that slows the transfer of heat, whether from inside something or outside something accomplishing the same thing as insulation!?! I guess what I saw on inaccurate's intake was home insulation.

^^^

intake insulation = home insulation stuff....

also if your exhaust has some welding flaws do not wrap it....coz it will only end up messing those welds up....wrapping is actually a science....you need to get the right color/material/right areas to wrap and the right techniques to wrap.....

will PM you some videos and lets take this talk to your thread as am afraid this thread will end up getting closed any time now LOL
