3G TL Switchblade Key

Category: Accessories
Price: $45
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G
Location (State/Prov/Terr): CA
Item Condition: New

Bought this for my '04-'06 3G TL, but found my spare set of keys so I have no need for this. I bought it on the forums for $45, so that's what I'll sell it for.

PM me if interested. Thanks!

I bought it from this thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/3g-tl-parts-gucci-clothes-772398/

It says just needs to be milled and programmed. I haven't gone to the dealer so technically I'm not 100% sure, but I bought it for my '05 with the intentions of getting it programmed for my car.

This looks like the one you sold in this thread https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/unmilled-switchblade-key-775367/

You said it was sold and shipped, but that key was not cut to fit your car.

This key has been cut, so it will only fit your car, and the buyer will have to replace the key blank.

Or am I missing something here?

So Let me get this straight, if I get a new blank key and get it milled, laser cut key will fit my 06 TL?

I bought two separate switchblades, both of them on the forums here (I can point you to the threads). One I already sold off (link you provided) and now I'm selling the other one off. The first one was a Mem1, and this is a Mem2. At the time I wasn't sure which one I wanted so I just bought, thinking it'd be easy to sell whichever one I didn't want.

As for this one being cut, I definitely didn't do anything to it. Received the package and haven't touched it since. The pictures show exactly how I received the switchblade when I bought it. I guess the buyer will have to replace with a key blank?

To compensate for that discretion, I'll take $40 + whatever the cost of shipping (shouldn't be more than $5).

Thanks!

Hey Toddy thanks! By the way what day did you end up getting the package? According to USPS you didn't receive it till like 4 or 5 days after? Which I found weird since you live fairly close to me. Either way hope every worked out!

so i am a bit confused here.

this key has been ground, so the buyer would need a new blank+ grinding+ programming?

i guess the magical answer for me, is how much to make this functional outside paying you?

i would contact heeltoe (vendor on here) and see what they can do for you as far as the blank key. they could probably cut it for you and maybe program it..

For this to fit the '04-'06 TL it will have to be milled. This key was just cut, but that is for the newer Honda sidewinder locks. It appears you can still use it for the '04-'06 as long as it is milled. I would double check with heeltoe (Marcus) just to be sure.

This key has been laser cut for the 07-08 and it's too late too be milled for an 04-06, the cuts are too close to the center and Markus at heeltoe wouldn't be able to mill it, or recut it for a different vin, this key can be only used for parts like the body and module inside that's about it.

I bought one from the dealer and they said they COULDn't even mill it to be used with teh older 04 thru 06 one anyway, the height of ours is thinner.

U have to send it to heeltoe to get milled, dealer can not mill it to fit 04-06 TL, I have one I'm going to post on the bm, I ordered 2 online and they sent me both memory 1's and I got one milled already and I'm only going to use one , I have the other one it's new in package unmilled uncut memory one

Okay guys I got the information for you. Basically you'll need to get a new key blank in there. There are DIY guides out there for those of you that are really handy. For those that aren't, HeelToe will put a new keyblade in for $85.

http://www.heeltoeauto.com/Fastline-...-pr-64855.html

With that said, I'll sell this key for $30 + the cost of shipping. Thanks!
