At this point I do not want to part this out. I wish my car was as dark as this kit. If I ever do get it painted this would be the color.

cars fade over time and this kit is brand new, so they won't be a perfect match. and for every color acura sells, there are many different shades of the same color that even have different color codes. the aspec kit on my car is darker than my paint as well, but its really hard to get it exactly how you want it. can't do much about it

Long story short. Dropped the car off at AudioX for some stereo work. The owner lets me borrow his truck to get home. (80-ish miles) I took the kit to his shop in his truck, color did not match. Left the kit at AudioX and drove the TL home. Hope to go get the kit in my SUV soon and I will posts pics of the kit next to my car.

I wish my car was as dark as the kit!

 

What was said about the paint being a pain in the butt to match is so true. Stopped by to get my paint matched, and i was shocked to find that from Acura (Honda) there is 7 different shades of Anthracite Metallic. And that is from the factory, basically if you do any type of work with paint on the car, it will be unique, never original...

If I was finished with my audio system, Id pick this kit up. My brother paints amazing, and obviously for me it'd be free- But depends, there are some lagit painters and some crap out there, basically you get what you pay for. Good luck with getting the paint to match, that in itself is a pain in the rear... If a kit doesn't work out for you, just lower your car more, lol

 

there just variants in the color, different factories have different colors/shades, so they will add a letter/number to the end of the paint code to make their's unique for future reference. The paint can't be off that bad.

 

That's the thing... Everyone's standards of "bad" is different. Paint is a touchy subject. I think its better just to repaint the whole car, that way nothing can be off, lol But that idea falls through due to the money and work involved.

 

If I did that I would put 07 lighted side mirrors on as well.
