05' RL wheels/tires/sensors.

Recently priced over $2,000 worth of goods including wheels, tires and sensors.
Everything is as new as it gets. Cannot get any newer. They are take-off's from an 05' RL that had upgraded chrome finish wheels put on. NOT A SCRATCH ON THEM!

For all of you people that own new RL's.. An extra set is ALWAYS good to keep around. If you've curbed your wheels or your hitting 40k+ miles on your new RL and the tires are wearing low... expect to pay $200+ dollars a piece for new tires.. Or buy CHEAP tires that make LOTS OF NOISE.. Or if you've bent/curbed your wheels from hitting potholes expect to pay $300+ dollars for new wheels..

1. yes, currently WITHOUT SENSORS, but will have them on there before buyer recieves them. Im going to purchase them from the dealer then install them once buyer either pays a down payment or full amount. PM me for my personal email..i will send pictures via Email.

They will not fit a TL. The bolt patterns are different.

I got a minute and found the bolt pattern size, courtesy of samkws. The 2005 RL is 5X120 and will not fit any other Acura. The TL is 5X114, if memory serves me correctly..

 

i know for a fact the RL studs and lugnuts are bigger than the TL's.

people usually come into my work and shit bricks when they see the bill after the tech recommended him 4 tires + an alignment..

or when they slam potholes and their steering wheel shimmies like crazy because the wheels are bent.

i mean, i work as a tech for Acura. I see the bills that some of these RL owners pay. It's like wow. 200$+ a piece for each tire + mounting and balancing + a 4-wheel alignment.

That's gutwrenching.. I'd throw up if i had to pay that.

I thought i'd be giving a deal for 4 tires brand new/ 4 new wheels mint condition/ sensors.

its nuts.

I mean, NO OFFENSE, but some of the "snobby" RL owners with all the money in the world, will just crack curbs, do 60mph over manholes and speedbumps.. they'll just go to the dealer and buy they're way out of carelessness.

but some, if not most RL owners i'd assume are on a budget like everyone else and can't afford to go buy tires/wheels everytime they ACCIDENTLY hit a curb or run over a nail near the sidewall of the tire. But sometimes they are naive with the fact that they think they can get away with putting cheaper tires on this car without losing the complete integrity of the RL's ride quality.

It goes both ways..rich people buy the best and get the best. They just don't care.
Budgeted people CARE, buy cheap and get the worst.

My point is for all of you budgeted people, you guys should really look further into this deal.

you take your car to the dealer for a shimmy in the steering wheel at high speeds.. WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED? The dealer tells you that 2 of your driver side wheels are bent. Right off the bat.. $600+ bill for just 2 wheels.. no tires.0

But, you go ahead and buy these, it's a different story, something like..

Oh well that's great, i have an extra set sitting right in my garage/storage space..i'll just bring you guys the wheels.. mount and balance them for me.
your bill now totals out to be about $37.95 + tax to cover the mount and balancing..

right away.. you save all of that money.

would you happen to know the bolt pattern size on the G2 Legend? Nazriaz pm'd me asking the bolt pattern and if the RL wheels would fit. I am totally not sure.
Any help for him would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

I think the G2 Legend wheels are the same as the 1G and 2G TL wheels, but I am not positive.

It doesn't matter here, though, because the 2005RL wheels use a larger bolt pattern, and someone said they use larger wheel studs, so an 05 RL wheel won't fit anything else.

I know some of you RL owners are hitting close to 40-50k miles on your 05 RL by now..

 

If you are willing to dump the tires for $200+shipping I will take them. You can then sell your rims and TPMS seperately

 

the tires are still on the rims. and plus that would be the price of just 1 tire? that's a little too low for me..i'd rather sell the 4 tires and 4 wheels for 600$.. too much hassle for only $200..sorry buddy.

You should check on ebay for the previously completed auctions - any of them that have sold with the wheel and tires have sold for around $400-450.

Sell the wheels for $400, sell the TPMS for probably $75-80

 

but why would someone who owns an RL not pay an extra 400$ for a set of wheels with the tires? i mean come on, i see RL owners going through wheels like crazy. They become bent/cracked from hitting potholes and what have you. i think it is WELL worth the extra couple hundred bucks to keep around this way your not forking out mucho bucks at the dealer.

and vp911 he started his auction at 200$..im sure he wasnt planning on selling them for 200, im sure he wanted a little more out of them. I guess he got screwed..lol

 

I havnt heard of any RL owners with cracked rims, but that was his 3rd set sold for around 200... i doubt he cares if he keeps listing them that low.
