18" Forgestar F14 Wheels (18x9 +29) semi-concave $1300 PICKED-UP $1400 SHIPPED

Category: Wheels & Tires
Price: $1200
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G, TL 2G, TSX 1G, Type-S Model
Location (State/Prov/Terr): CA
Item Condition: Brand New

Brand new set of Forgestar F14 wheels in Textured Gunmetal

$1460 picked up, $1560 shipped

FINAL PRICE DROP: $1200 PICKED-UP $1300 SHIPPED

All wheels are still in the box and I've only opened one box to get a feel for the color. All other boxes are still sealed from the manufacturer. No trades please.

I just picked these wheels up from the manufacturer today. Wheels are custom made to my order and they actually take a really long time to come in. I have the wheels ready for pick-up/shipping right away! Super strong and lightweight (flow formed) construction makes them perfect for track use. The "textured" gunmetal color is a sort of matte clear coated gunmetal (as opposed to Sharksbreath's gloss gunmetal). It is a bit darker than the gloss gunmetal finish and has a bit of sparkle in the color (think little specs of glitter embedded in the paint). These wheels are finished using Forgestar's new powdercoating system.

The reason i'm selling these is because I had a misunderstanding during my order and I actually wanted to get a different color. I actually think i'm going to buy another set of these in the same exact dimensions but in a different color haha

Square setup:
Rims are 18"x9" +29
5x114.3 lug pattern

I believe they weight ~18lbs for 18x9 which is really good! I'll weigh them on my bathroom scale to confirm when I get the chance.

I'm located in Southern California and would prefer pick-up (Orange County or LA county), but I'm willing to ship for an additional charge.

Includes:
4 brand new wheels
4 Forgestar carbon fiber center caps
4 hubcentric rings for Acura's center bore

Thanks! A long wait it was, indeed! The wait time for these wheels is anywhere from 8 weeks to 4 months!!! $1500 is cheaper than you can get these wheels anywhere if you account for tax and/or shipping and there's NO WAIT! I still love the wheels, but I just changed my mind on the color. I'm a glossy wheel kind of guy

The wheels are "textured" which is a flat finish with sparkles. It's pretty cool imo, just not something for me at the moment. I'm hoping to get something in Hyper Black or something more similar to my type-s wheel color. Here's a comparison pic, note how the Forgestar wheel finish is flat and the type-s wheel is liquid-glossy.

And please don't flame me for scratching up the type-s wheel. I lost traction in the rain and crashed wheel-first into a curb a few years back. This is just an ornament now lol

Thanks guys! And wow ben, those gloss gunmetal's look pretty dark on your car--I like it! Did you get the F14s before Forgestar switched over to their powdercoating system? The guys at Forgestar told me that gloss gunmetal is a much lighter color now compared to what it used to be in 2009 with their painted wheels. I prefer the darker gunmetal on a dark car.

Also, I've just weighed the Forgestar wheels on a bathroom scale and it came out to be roughly 22lbs per wheel I guess the low offset added more weight to the wheel than I expected Nevertheless, 22lbs on an 18x9 +29 wheel is still very light, and lighter than stock might I add! My stock type-s wheel came out to be 23lbs on the same scale, and the Forgestars are larger in diameter, wider, and just as strong if not STRONGER than the stock enkeis.

Got my f14s earlier this month. It's powdercoated with a clear coat on top of it. Either way you will want a clear coat to give it that shine.

Did you get the wheels clear-coated separately after you got the wheels? From what Forgestar has told me, Forgestar clear coats all their wheels. The representative told me that they simply use a glossy clear coat for the gloss wheels and a matte clear coat for the textured/matte wheels. I wonder if I could put a glossy clear coat over my matte clear coat hmmm...

Your wheels look great on your car btw. Sharksbreath (a member on azine) got gloss gunmetal F14s recently on a black TL and the color of the wheels just didn't look very dark to me :/ I think the darkness of the black paint makes the color of the gloss gunmetal wheels look lighter.

Thanks for the offer but sorry man, I'm just looking to sell. The reason is I'm planning to use the $1500 to buy another set of the Forgestar F14's, but only in a different color lol That is, unless your current wheels are Advan RS in the same specs and gunmetal haha

haha yeah i'm kind of bummed that i'm going to have to wait another 2 months or more for the next set but i'm not taking a huge hit at this price; it's still cheaper than paying to get the wheels powdercoated to a different color lol Another reason I wanted to order another set is that the wheels came out to be a lot heavier than I expected them to be; Forgestar told me the 18x9 wheels usually come out at around 18lbs, but mine came out to be 22lbs (which is still very light, but my main reason for getting the wheels was for the weight savings). Sure, they're larger than stock wheels and weigh less than them as well, but I want the maximum benefit for my money

I know right?

I'm actually planning to get the new titanium powdercoat finish and I'm thinking about getting a more conservative offset because it'll weigh less. Maybe a +32 this time

Your 19" gunmetals look sickkk by the way! I wish I could rock 19s, but I don't think i'll be very happy at the track with them haha

exactly why i want 18's. ride comfort/cheaper tires/weight savings.

19's look great, don't get me wrong...but after doing all these performance mods and the new J&R ECU/diet i'm trying to go maximize performance and keep aesthetics in a close 2nd.

oh well, i'll just keep the 19's.

good luck with your sale man, these should be gone in no time with tax season coming up and all.

Completely understand you want to shave some weight. What happens if your next order comes with same wheel weigh

I looked into getting these, possibly in gold or the finish you have now. but I'm impatient and the wait was too long haha.

Thanks man! And I completely agree with your philosophy. Performance first, but keeping aesthetics in mind as well

haha the next wheels should be a bit lighter due to the extra material being machined off at the wheel hub contact (backspace area). I'm hoping a 32et will shed off one or two pounds but it WOULD suck if they came out at around the same weight haha

Machining the hub with a higher offset is not gonna shave that much weight off. The width of the rim has more impact on the weight. For example, 18x7.5 will be significantly lighter than a 18x9.

The guys at Forgestar told me an 18x9 with offset in the mid 40s should weigh ~18lbs... they must have just been trying to sell me a product haha

Wheels are still available!

I've sent a few pm's of reduced pricing to certain members, so I thought I might as well extend the offer to everybody

FINAL PRICE DROP: $1300 PICKED-UP $1400 SHIPPED
this is friggin cheap considering how much they cost + tax + shipping + waiting 2-3 months for the wheels to be made by Forgestar (remember, each wheel is custom made to order)! I will ship the wheels as soon as the payment goes through. You will NOT get wheels of this quality and construction brand new for this price anywhere else!

These wheels are up there in strength and performance with forged wheels, if you doubt me look them up!

mods please edit in title and price in black market.

mod edit-since it's the FINAL price drop-done

Here's a picture of the wheels from a corner view to show a bit of the concavity in the spokes. The concavity is much more apparent from the side view, but unfortunately I do not have any shots of the wheels from the side.

Remember the wheels are semi-concave. They aren't full out deep concave like some of the lower offset wheels, but they have some nice conservative concavity in there For comparison purposes, note how the type-s wheel spokes run flat till the center of the wheel.

i like the way you think.

but i have tires/TPMS mounted on mine already so...somebody needs to hook me up with some tires or cash for tires, and you got a deal man.

i spent about $2500 on everything. wheels/tires/TPMS/mounting/balancing/tuner lugs...just to give you all an idea.

ABP...PM me when you get a chance. you're semi-local so this might work out if you're interested.

Price Drop

I know I said final price drop last time, but now I need the money for my other mods. I don't intend to put these on my car anymore so my priorities have changed and this is the FINAL PRICE DROP: $1200 PICKED UP $1300 SHIPPED
take them from me if you want wheels and don't want to pay the $1600 full price + wait two months, this is your calling

Nobody likes these wheels? They're not THAT ugly, are they?

Mods, I am terribly sorry to be such a bother, but I had to adjust my price down to $1200 picked-up $1300 shipped in the US to make my wheels more marketable. I will not post a lower price on this current FS thread I put my word on it! Can you please change to the lower price? Thanks!

Randy, just keep the wheels and powder coat them a different color. Too nice of a set to take such a big hit over color unless you are looking going for a different look altogether.

Agreed with Ben and keep your wheels. I did asked my friend about your brand new wheels but he took a different route.
