12W6, Tempest X, IDCTX65, Massive Audio 6.5" "center" , 3.5" Infinity, stock sub

Category: Audio/Video/Electronics
Price: $100
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G
Location (State/Prov/Terr): CA
Item Condition: Used

I've got to unload some of this stuff everything is minus shipping...

I have one 12W6 in good condition $200.

My currently installed Tempest X 15". I bought it brand new a month ago and it's running infinite baffle right now. It easily plays to 20hz with authority. The low end will blow your mind and SQ is very good too. It has an amazing 27mm xmax and 37mm xmech. This thing has some serious output and it's barely broken in. It was purchased to get me by until my AE IB15s arrived which they are coming in on Tuesday. It is still in the car and functional right now but it's coming out this weekend. If anyone local wants to hear it, this weekend would be the time. $150.

Image Dynamics CTX65 component set. I'm pretty sure I have a buyer for these already but thought I would throw them out there just in case. $30.

Massive Audio SX-6 coaxial for the center. I ordered two of them, only need one for the center channel. They should be here Monday or Tuesday. This is a shallow 6.5" (1.66" deep) coaxial that will be going in the factory center location. They will fit with no modification and if you want real sound quality you need something large instead of the puny factory 3.5" especially if you're running an MS8.

I still have the used Infinity 3.5" that came out of it. $20.

Still have the stock subwoofer that was only used for a month when the car was brand new and then boxed up. $20.

I take Paypal.

Damn! I always screw these threads up lol. The SX-6 pair cost $90. I was selling just the one to anyone else looking for a single center channel but didn't want to pay the price for a pair. $40 for the one and it's brand new. You have to remove the clock assembly which just requires a little prying with a butter knife. Once out you can slide the 6" speaker in there. It's a massive improvement over the little stock 3.5". I originally upgraded to the Infinity 3.5" years ago before I realized you could fit something much larger in there without cutting. Keep in mind, the center is barely used in normal CD or radio listening. It's used mostly for navi voice and true 5.1 surround... Or in my case my processor puts a lot of emphasis on the center channel so I need something that will cover a wide range of frequencies.

The CTXs are pending sale.

IDs are sold.

I have a couple pics of the Tempest and 12W6...

Basically all I have of the W6 now were during the IB install so here's it's ass lol.

Tempest X.... This thing will move some serious air and have lows unlike you've ever heard in IB use.

It actually made a HUGE difference in the center. You do have to mod the grill. You break the "legs" off where the metal clips attach to hold the grill in. A couple drops of glue is more than enough to hold it in and keep it from vibrating. You have to grind a little from the backside of the grill so the tweeter clears or the grill will sit 1/16" above the dash on one side. I put stuffing under the mid to bring it up to the bottom of the dash and velcro to hold it in place. It's definitely not a drop in like the coax would be but it's very easy and sounds very good.

If you plan on using an MS8, a large center is a must.

It's still for sale, I actually considered installing both in the rear of the car and ordering another set of coaxials for the rear. If you want it, you can have it, still in the original packaging.

As for the rest, the Tempest and IDs are sold. The CK-6 is practically sold. The Infinity is still available. The W6 is pending sale.

W6 is coming off the market in two days. I'll probably install it in the GF's car since I use it a bit.

The tempest is sold but it needs a lot of airspace. 4 cubes minimum sealed with 6 recommended to go real low. That's why I used it infinite baffle so it took up no trunk space. The Tempest X was a D8 setup and the W6 is the 12W6v2D4 (the latest version).
