i think he was comparing it for hte 04-06 tl which it uses a differnt key base unlike hte 07-08 key. This can be made to work with the 04-06. its just that the key have be milled. This would work perfect for a 07-08 tl though.

the dealer can do the regular cut for an 07/08 TL or MDX. If you have an 05/06 TL then Heeltoe would have to do the milling. It is possible. Had 3 interested parties contact me privately but no one has put down the $ yet.

nahh i bought a key like this and i couldnt get it cut anywhere...the key is supposed to look ike this.......you can see the diference

U send it to heeltoe auto to get milled for $60 I believe if you want it to work on 04-06 TL, if u have an 07-08 base or type s TL you can just take it to local Acura dealer to get cut and programed simple

^look at the cut of the key tlboy posted and look at what I have up or your 07 key. It's milled and cut differently. Swttl can u please post that pic u sent me.

Because dealers don't have a machine to mill the key to be a regular key cut for a 04-06,they could only cut it as a laser cut key which came out for the acuras in 07- and present newer cars, all the dealer could do is laser cut it for 07-08 and program it unless u send the key to heeltoe for milling and then u can take it to dealer to get a regular cut for an 04-06 once it's milled

^ and the stock type-s key is thicker than the 04-06 base keys so you have to send it to heeltoe to get a custom milling job done which will mill it lengthwise and also shave the thickness down by about 1mm.
