what to shoot in Montreal
#4
The cross on Mont Royal, Beaver Lake on Mont Royal, the view towards downtown from Mont Royal, street life on St Denis and Parc (hopefully never to be renamed), Notre Dame Basilica, St Joseph's Oratory, the Lachine Canal as mentioned above.
Place Jacques Cartier in Old Montreal always has something going on, though I'm guessing it's a bit chilly there these days. You'll find a shitload of random statues and sculptures throughout the city, so those could make interesting photo subjects.
If you head towards the casino, there's Habitat 67, a low cost residential project that has turned into one of the more exclusive addresses in Montreal. Both the Casino and Habitat are good subjects. The milk bottle. I can't picture where exactly it is, but you'll see it for sure around the old port area
One of the best shots I've seen of Montreal was shot looking at the McGill campus, from the bottom of Avenue McGill College, from Cathcart, which is just below St. Catherine street.
Damn, I miss Montreal

A tripod would have been nice in the church.
I really enjoy my 28-105mm as a walk around. It has a nice reach which gives you so much more freedom in framing your shots.
Most of the pictures were taken with that lens. I did take out the 50mm f1.8 in the church, but I couldn't get a wide enough view with it. It did perform better, as I was shooting with much higher ss.
Any critique on the photos would be appreciated. I am learning, so I need all the help I can get.
