A lot of them do. I think every canon from the A610 and up has it. Some of the lower SD series doesn't though.

okay, so I'm down to these choices...

Canon SD700 IS
Canon A640 or A630 (not sure if I need 10MP)
Fuji F30

(I'd really like to make my online purchase tonight, so to make sure I get it before thanksgiving)

The 700IS because of the IS and the 4X optical zoom.

Geesh, do some research on your own.
Almost all non-pocket sized cameras should have A/S modes.

Almost no pocket sized cameras have it, though.

sorry, I thought coming into the "Cameras & Photography" was kinda like doing research... I've been here at AZ for over 5 years now, and AZ's always been very helpful in random info... but I guess it's asking too much...

sorry again...

There's lots of good info to be had here, but if you really want to research cameras and other photography gear, you need to stick to dedicated photography sites, of which there's many. Those places will provide in depth testing and comparison of features that you simply can't get here.

Here you're mostly going to get opinions. Check out places like DP Review, Fred Miranda, Luminous Landscape and many others for hardcore gear comparisons.

BTW, IS stands for Image Stabilization, which is Canon's version of the image stabilzing technology that allows one to shoot sharp, handheld images at shutter speeds that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to achieve without a tripod.

http://www.steves-digicams.com/ is another good site.

I told you the 700IS based on what I've read about the camera's you listed. I just purchased a new P&S, SD800IS without doing much reading on it because it is so new. Once I got it didn't like it. Went with what I should a got in the first place A710IS.

^^^thanks!! I might just go with that... cause it's got pretty much ALL the features I'm looking for except the size... it's a bit on the bulky side... but I can deal with it... I don't know why I over looked it...

Actually, I should apologize, my response was a bit stiff.
But your question is way too broad: there are probably 100+ digital cameras with A/S modes.

If you want to search for cameras with a specific feature set,
dpreview has a link on the left for:
Buyer's Guide -> Features Search.

But it only returns the first 10 matches.

okay, one question for you on the A710IS... one of my main concern is... low light shooting WITHOUT flash... What's your experience with it so far...

sometimes, I hate using the flash... cause that... "flash-in-your-face" just ruins the moment...

^^ I don't have any experience with P&S cameras with IS, but that's one place it should really help. You should be able to hand hold the camera with longer shutter speeds allowing for more light and less need for the flash.

^^ Agree, the 710IS takes good pictures w/o flash. Better than the Fuji I had, and the IS is the reason why.
