taking pic's of halos and headlights

how do you do it? I have a 10mp sony camara, and I want to take pic's of my JnC custom headlights. I have halo's and switchbacks I want to show off

, but those things come off way too bright on my pic's. any suggestions?

You have to lower your exposure, does your Sony have manual mode?

I think it does have manual, so I have to lower exposure? i will try that.
