Space Shuttle Endeavor Landing at LAX

I think I'm in love with my D800...I'll have to post how much I cropped in on that last runway shot...unreal detail I got in all the images.

Not sure where you heard that. The shuttle landed and went to straight to being taken off the 747 so it can be prepped for its 2 days journey through the streets of LA next month to its new home at the CA Science Center.

the first post is awesome - but I'm not sure what you're so impressed about by the crops - they look like zooms taken with a good P&S... not sure what you would ever be able to do with those crops - especially given your apparent very very high standards for IQ and such. just my 2 cents.

On the shuttle Im impressed I can read Endeavour clear and sharp as day...I can see each panel. I can see the rust on where the mount on the 747 meets the underside of the shuttle.

On the F18...Im astounding I can blow up that tiny thing big enough to read the NASA logo on the tail fin and see its designated number.

You can stir the pot all you want, but you can't say those crops and the ability get in that close aren't impressive. And thats on an object moving at a high rate of speed while I was panning.

I'm not stirring the pot. The crops are very low IQ and look like shit.

no one said they looked like a million dollars, but there is amazing detail in them for the size they started at originally. And to be able to get that from something so super small in the image is imo incredible.

This is starting to sound like you whining about my cropped moon shot all over again.

I'm comfortable with the camera I bought....are you...

I know you can't handle criticism and I know I went wayyy over the top in regard to that. I blame Monday. So I'll stop there. And, this has nothing to do with any of my cameras.

I can handle criticism just fine, which is not what you were even remotely doing. I'm just showing how much detail you can see in effectively blowing up something that amounts to piece of dirt. And you're sitting here whining that it looks like shit.

Maybe I'm just blown because I'm coming from a 12MP pro body that had no where near this amount of cropping power.

But you, you just sound like some sore asshole who didn't wipe enough this morning. Which is fine...but dont start bleeding out when I respond to you as such.
