Sigma...need to vent a little

So I sent my Sigma 18-50mm 2.8 in last week to get it calibrated because the AF sucks even with microadjust maxed out. I call them today to see if they got the lens because they were supposed to email me when they received it (according to their website) and it got there, on Monday.

When I asked how long I thought it would take for them to calibrate it, she said warranty work takes 4-5 weeks. 4-5 FUCKING WEEKS!!! For a lens calibration!?! My blood is boiling I'm so pissed right now. I can always rent a lens for next weekend to shoot with but 4-5 WEEKS, seriously!!!

So I guess I'll be getting some practice in with the 50 1.8

I forgot to mention that when I called before I sent the lens in, they said it would take 1-3 weeks for calibration.

4-6 weeks is rediculously long. I would ask them to send you another lens while they are working on yours.

Canon quotes 7-10 business days for repairs (not including shipping times) and I have never waited more than a week. It would have been longer if I had to ship there and back, but no where near THAT long.
