Screw Anadarko....

So I thought it would be a cool idea to get some car shots next to the Anadarko Tower in The Woodlands near where I live.

Alright, cool. I go up to The Woodlands early today before my classes so I could make sure and have plenty of time to get any shots that I could. I finally pull up to the round about little thingy at the front of the building, and I am getting my camera out, just about to take pictures when I hear somebody call out to me.

It's a little hire a cop saying that if I'm going to take pictures to make sure and not get any shots with the building in it.

You serious right now??

I mean, the building isn't ugly, but they shouldn't flatter themselves so much. I don't think somebody wants to come and snatch their design. It's nice I guess, but definitely nothing revolutionary. So to spite them, I take as many pictures as I can as I pull out, then I take another round around the building to get some more shots.

Here is some shots of the Anadarko Tower so all of you can go and tell your architect buddies and have them steal this design.

All of these were taken from in my car, lol.

A shot threw my sunroof as I was pulling out.

On the other side of a little man-made waterway thing....

Take a leap...

If pictures can be taken of it from public property, screw them. If you were in their parking lot you have to follow the rules.

Only other reason I can come up with is if there are any federal gov't offices inside. Otherwise, lick my sack.

Problem is, there are often Federal Gov't offices in normal office buildings... IRS, FBI, DOE, DOI, etc... Many of them rent a whole floor. I worked inan FBI office in Tucson and we had two whole floors of a 35 story bank building.

Makes sense.

But do they really think people could take a pic of a very reflective glass building taken at almost a straight up angle!?!

The only way a pic could be taken of offices like that IMO were from farther away, off of the premises where they couldn't say anything. lol

I'm not/wasn't trying to break any rules or get someone's panties in a bundle at the building...I just wanted to take a few measly pictures.

That point is it's their building, not yours. When you're on their property, they make the rules. It's not just amateurs and hobbyists that have to deal with this. Pros run into it all the time.

However, I do love spite.

So for spites sake, tomorrow morning after my class...I'll park somewhere else, walk maybe a quarter of a mile, and take pictures from across the road/median. It takes on a better angle anyway.

This is what is going to happen....
