Saving up for a camera!

hello all....ive always been very interested in photography, but have never really actually did it. Of course i have a point and shoot camera and an iphone, but the quality and lack of options leave a lot to be desired. I pretty much know nothing about dslr cameras, nor how to use them, other than what i have read on here and a couple other web sites. Basically, im trying to save up for my first one and was looking at the Canon t3i. Its a little out of my price range, but from what i have read, it seems to be a great value and will grow with me for a long time. What do you guys think about my choice? Any other options out there that are cheaper or you would recommend over the t3i?

For a starter camera you can't go wrong with it.

I suggest that you get into a store and get the cameras in your hand. You need to make sure it's a good fit.

^ I agree with Jup, also....if the T3i is a bit out of your price range, dont be afraid to buy a used body. Maybe even a used package so you could get something better than the kit lens too.
