Ricoh

Is there a reason why this little guy costs close to $700 bucks?

Looks like it has a fixed focal length lens. Hmmm... If it is a prime lens, why does the lens need to pop out when you turn on the camera???

It's a point and shoot aimed at photography geeks. The Sigma DP1 will be even geekier if it's ever released: http://sigma-dp1.com/

They make the lens retractable so the camera can be smaller when not in use, but the lens needs to extend to put the elements in proper position.

If it is evaR released, looks like their having problems putting that slr sensor in a P&S.

My first two digitial P&S shoot's were Ricoh's 10 yrs ago, though nice at the time, there's better out there now.
