Random camera tips thread

I thought of this while making my other post. I don't think it's been mentioned before:

When you push the shutter button on a camera, you shouldn't just push it with your finger. You'll push the whole camera, which invites camera shake.

Instead, you should gently squeeze the camera, like you are squeezing a water bottle. That way, there is equal force on both sides, and the camera shouldn't move.

thanks for the tip.. also
instead of a tri-pod use the roof of your car when shooting on the fly..i usually stick mine out the sunroof
