Quick question

I have a new SD750 with a 2GB SD card. It works awesome, takes pictures beautifully and I can delete single pictures at a time when the card is inserted into the camera and I manually delete them that way.

Now, the way I transfer pictures to my PC is by pulling out the SD card, inserting it into an SD card reader attached to my PC and pull them over that way.

Problem:
When I want to delete a few selected photo's or all of the photo's via my PC using the card reader it tell me that the card is Write Protected. I've already checked that the little plastic slide on the side of the card is in the unlocked position.

What am I missing? I'm sure its very simple and I will kill myself when I hear the answer...

Try checking windows security to see if its read only...right click on the card directory and go to properties.

Check your card and make sure you don't have it locked. There's a little tab on the left hand side of it.

yeah, this was my first read of the day , so I just skimmed your words. Plus the beers last night at the Ramblings party and then what I drank after I got home. 9 out of 10 that's the problem.

Get what you want off of the card, put it back in the camera and format it. Then try again.
