Pop-up shade

I just got a Delkin snap on pro pop-up shade for my rebel xt. Does anyone have experience with these? Any comments? It seems like a nice little piece to protect my screen and buttons.

I was thinking about getting one of those. I was wondering does it get in the way when taking pictures? I mean, I know you can close it, but I find my self taking a picture and looking at it right away on the LCD. It seems like I'd have to open and close that shade cover too frequently. For now I just put one of those clear protective films on the LCD of my 30D until I find something better.

I've also heard that they can make the viewfinder a little darker, because the eyepiece is extended a bit.

You can remove the pop-up shade and just use the screen/ button protection
