cleaning lense

I have a bit of dust and a small finger print on my lense. Whats the safest way to clean the lense? Do I need to go out and buy the kit?

dust off and a microfiber lens cloth.

You want to avoid using lens solutions as much as possible. Only when absolutely needed. They will wear the coating off your lenses over time.

To refine Sarlacc's selection a bit: manual squeeze blower bulb (NOT canned air!) plus a quality MF cloth. The propellant in canned air can be really nasty to get off your optics should it accidentally spray on them.
