new goodies, 52mm or 58mm

As of now, I'm only sporting extra memory on the S3. I've been searching for new goodies for her, and after research, I'm looking to go with these;

-Hoya Circular Polarizer filter
-Lensmate lens adapter, collapsable rubber lens hood, and snap cap

The only burning question is......52mm or 58mm. I can't decide, so give me a clue, please. What, besides the obvious size difference, is the pros/cons?

I'm not sure how it works on the S3, but the size shouldn't be variable. You need a filter that fits whatever size the lens is.

You may be able to use a step up ring to get from the S3's filter thread to the more conventional filter sizes available.
