Need New Point-and-Shoot Digi Cam...
Has anyone ever purchased merchandise from this website? -->http://www.techondigital.com/product...ductid=DSCT300
They have the digital camera I want at a pretty deep discount compared to other places, both online and in physical stores. Thanks!

Go take a look at the model/make of camera you want on amazon.com and read what the people who have purchased them say. Canon pretty much owns the P&S market, with some exceptions.

Check out Costco, or online.
I've always bought Sony cameras, but I figured I'd try a new brand. My brother has a Canon DSLR that he loves, so I'm going to try a Canon P&S.
No Costco in my area, so I'll have to try Wally World. I need the camera tonight, so I can't wait to order online.

You certainly can't go wrong with Canon but be sure to keep an open mind and try out other brands too. Do your research first before you buy. A great place to go with tons of information is www.dpreview.com Check out their forums and camera reviews.
In the point and shoot market, Sony pretty much makes all of the chips that other brands use. The major exception is Canon.
So choose between those two makes. Keep in mind Sony likes to go proprietary, so I think the majority of their cameras use MemoryStick, whereas Canon's will use CF and SD.
