Need help with a camcorder
Need help with a camcorder
I have abosolutely no idea which one to get
if its Mini DV, HDD, or DVD....I don't really care.
I would like a 'good' camcorder with easy to use features since my mother will be using it too.
So:
Easy to use features
storage - dont really care
nightvision - not important
good sound
side lcd screen would be nice
still snapshot option
I think thats about it...
Any suggestions? Thanks!!!
BTW - the canon digital cam u all suggested is awesome! lovin it.

my rule is: canon for digital still cameras
and sony for digital video cameras, i haven't done a lot of research into current models but just about any sony minidv cam looks great during the day, at night or in low light situations you're gonna wanna look into a 3CCD chip camera, otherwise any ol' minidv will look sufficient in daylight, provided it's a sony, you should be happy.
btw: what canon still camera did you purchase?

Video cameras, like still cameras are all about two things.... The lens and the chip.
I buy and shoot Pansonic. But, I'm shooting proline equipment that you don't need.
I'm not going to get into a huge write up on the pro's and con's of digital video.
But I will say, go the miniDV route.
You will always have the tape backup and the media is very cheap and durable.
HDD and DVD are still too new and too fragile.
