I dont think they are upgradable, but I also think you will get years of service from cs3 before you need to worry about it. I'm sure you could crack it afterwords if you want

You are probably right, By the time I figure out Lightroom and CS3, everyone will be using tabletop computers, and "thinking" photos instead of taking them....

lol, lightroom is pretty intuitive, I just downloaded it in the last month and it's pretty easy to get going, there's some great video tutorials to get you going on it as well. And much of what you learn about all the settings transfer into CS3, just with CS3 you can be Pro.

hell, i couldnt find my copy of CS2, and i needed to edit photos for my newspaper and all i had was my copy of photoshop CS, so i installed that. worked out fine.
