My DIY lightbox
Nice stuff!
Are you using any front lighting or just two lights on the sides?
I wonder if a tiny bit of fill flash from the front would bring out a little more detail in a few of the shots...

Here is the setup
lightbox is a great investment
I can't seem to find the exact set for sale anymore right now, but a while back I bought one of those foldable lightbox kits off of ebay and the quality was better than expected. The tent is something like 32"^3 and miraculously folds up into a nice flat circle that you can carry anywhere. A couple of lights mounted to mini tripods rounded out the kit and it all fit into a nice carry bag. Sure it costs a bit more than DIY, but it's easy to stowaway and set up when needed. My wife uses it all the time for her floral arrangements and we even brought it out to help a family friend take a few shots for their restaurant website.
Using parts of the kit, some indoor daylight, and no flash I was able to convert the lights and sheets into taking this pic:

If only I had my 430ex+stofen back then, I would probably have been able to fill in the rest of the under-lit areas.
