My D300 and iPad
My D300 and iPad
Well I recently picked up an iPad wanting to get immediate previews of the shots I have taken. So far everything looks good and this is my first attempt at it.

I've created a video to show what can be done so far. Many others have got this working as well. I just wanted to share what I've done so far. I need to do some tweaking, but it looks very, very promising!

Sweet, that's a great tool.
What is the latest OS you have on the ipad? 4.2 is said to be blocking some usb devices.

Wifi is required. An wireless access point/router is required unless you jailbreak your iPad. If you jailbreak your iPad, you can download an app to make an ad hoc network that the Pro X2 version of an Eye-Fi can connect to.
I'll post more info when I get home later.

I'm curious about this new direct mode that's coming out later.
It's like what you're doing already, but it's more native. And probably doesn't need a wifi access point.

I'm gonna check it out at CES when I go.

If I ever get an DSLR I would do the same. But the only downfall is that I hate the ipad. Maybe I could do the same on a android tablet instead. Anyways, here is another vid that teaches you how to do it as well it has more of an explaination:

So I picked up the pro x2 version. Like it do far.
I set up direct mode on it to push small jpegs to my iPhone (RAW go to my CF card)
One thing nifty is that I can upload my photos via the eye-Fi app to my computer over 3G and presumably other wifi networks
