MS Raw image thumbnailer/viewer/organizer?

I haven't tried this MS power toy yet because the windows validation requires active x and we block that here at work , but from the description it sounds like a nice thing to have. I usually shoot in raw format. Has anyone tried this?

Brief Description
Version 1.0 (Build 50)

The Microsoft RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer provides the ability to view, organize, and print photos captured in RAW image formats from supported Canon and Nikon digital cameras.

I haven't used the MS viewer, but pick up ACDSee Pro if you want a good RAW viewing/editing program. I've been seeing some great professional photos on the net and their EXIF data has ACDSee as their editor. That's what I use as my viewer and also editor if I don't have time to edit in Photoshop.

I really just wanted to be able to see the thumbnails of my photos when i plug my cf card into the reader. I use photoshop for all my editing.

Ok, I just installed the MS RAW viewer and it's the same as the standard viewer. When you open a folder and have it set to thumbnail view you have your thumbnails, when you open a RAW image it's the MS Viewer... this is all I got.

Here is ACDSee's viewer and RAW processor, you can change the thumbnail size also. I'm not trying to sell you on a $139 program, but it is cool.

I like it, I have always just used folders to organize my photos, having thumbnail previews of raw images means the world to me. It's actually partly why I use jpeg most times (till now)

You may want to check out Raw Shooter Essentials from Pixmantec. Can't hurt considering that it's free.

The microsoft solution is simple, but man is it ever a memory hog. It easily consumes 300MB+ which isn't cool when I've got photoshop taking 1GB+.
