Millenium Park Question

Headed to the Windy City later this month (wife business trip) and I can't wait to get my camera in Millenium Park!! Would any of you Chicagoans be kind enough to tell me if the park is fairly safe at night? I'm wanting to do some evening and night shots. I've been to Chicago a few times, but not since the park opened.
Thanks in advance

If the weather is nice (which I think its going to be) there will be lots of people out and about, including kids - its definitely an "attraction" in the city. In regard to your action or inaction in reliance of my opinion on whether it is "safe" or not, I feel hesitant to comment. For me personally, if I am in an area where there are lots of people around and there are kids playing in waterfalls, people having dinner, going for walks, and just relaxing, I do feel its a nice environment.

Ive spent numerous nights hanging out there with friends. Usually you find couples walking around or a homeless person sleeping. Other then that, from the times ive been there at night, its pretty quiet. During the day, your more then ok. Like srika said, if the weather is good youll find tons of kids and familys just hanging out. Great place to be. Also if you go during sun down and stand on the west side of the "bean," and if you time it just right, you get this spectacular shot of the sun reflecting off of it

So that would be facing the lake, right? Would that give a skyline in the "bean"?
I can't wait to use some digital for this. Film has always been a money issue with me....but digital allows you to shoot without thought of money.

I love this era!!

Chicago was great! My favorite big city! So much to see, too little time to get to it all. Here's a few:

Yeah, cool huh? You can't help but find ways to shoot it, a great addition to the Chicago landscape! I was unable to make it down there at night (partying to much ), but hope to make it next year.

I had no clue Trump's building was that far along. I just walk from the train station to my office every day and hardly ever venture East.
