Stick with the Sandisk Ultra line - you won't regret it.

I'm not going to directly bash AData since I have no experience with them nor have I read anything about them. Generally speaking though, you'd likely find that a substantial majority of people that are "concerned" about their flash media use either SanDisk or Transcend products.

As for the specifications, a class 6 card should be all that you need. Most consumer grade camcorders can write 1080p/30 video to a class 6 card without any issue. Ultimately, it depends on the format of the video. For example a camcorder writing AVCHD video will have different throughput needs than a digital camera that writes its video in m-jpeg format.

Based on user reviews alone I would go with

N82E16820211378

But like Einsatz said go with Sandisk, maybe I'm buying into the brand but the peace of mind I have when it comes to my pictures means a lot. Imagine shooting a wedding and having your card crap give you a ERR message (My Kingston 16GB).

The new Transcend 600x cards do ECC in hardware and they're crazy fast. Chances are they're overkill for most applications though.

To the OP, what are you using for a camera? Since you said 720p I assume you're probably using the video function of a digital still camera. If you happen to be using a camcorder based on AVCHD, there is a fairly compelling reason why you may want to consider shooting on 4 GB cards.

Your manual says what speed the video bitrate is.
For my 7D, it's 6 Megabytes/second. Yours should be similar.

Having a faster card, for the most part, is only useful for copying stuff off, or if you shoot a lot of bursts. I think you need a faster card if you want to shoot pictures while you take video, but I don't recommend doing so. it 'blips' the video.

6MB/sec... Remember 3.5" floppies? 4 of them every second. I don't know why this calculation popped in my mind. Then I remembered the old Sony digicams which wrote to floppies. How quickly things change!

Don't worry about my 4 GB card comment. With a T1i you can go with whatever size card you deem appropriate.

Yeah, I just got an 8GB microSd which is like half the size of my pinky's fingernail. Crazy!
