Just a few last minute shots of my car I took in the middle of those sunrise shots a couple weeks ago. Nothin' special. I should do a real shoot with it sometime. I'd like to try some HDR sometime, too.

BTW that's all corn in the background. I live in the middle of thousands of acres of corn.

Thanks drigo!

Yea, the 3rd is my favorite, 2nd one is my second favorite.

I didn't really like the one next to the building. I might have got some better shots at the tower had I not been told to not take pictures of the building. lol

I definitely like how it looks from the top of the headlight and above ,

but from the headlight down, the quality just went

I definitely want to try some HDR...I might try the conventional method first (3 pictures), then using 1 RAW to compare.

EDIT: When I said the quality went down, I didn't mean you suck. lol Part of it is that the picture is I'm guessing a JPG once I hosted it, so it doesn't really work as well...nothing that you did.

here's my setting for this particular picture..actually it's the setting i used for the last 3 pics i posted in here...i took 1 RAW file into LR2 and made 3 different exposures @ -2,0,+2..then export...take the 3 exported files from lightroom..open them in photomatix then process & tonemap..last step i did was take it back to LR2 and tuned up the brightness, contrast,& sharpness a little...hope that helps..

I just think I figured out something somewhat

Is photomatix one of the only programs you can do HDR in??

You can't do them in apps like LR or Capture or Aperture or PS??

You have to have Photomatix or CS2 or CS3??

there's another program out there thats very similar to photomatix but i forgot what it was called..it also has a free trial that doesn't expire..except for the trial version..it leaves a watermark but unlike photomatix..it leaves it in the bottom left corner...you can always crop it out..

A few of the more interesting cars I saw yesterday at an event called Hotrod-A-Rama, in Tacoma, WA. This kind of hot rod is called a Rat Rod, and most are of the less polished variety than you see at a lot of shows. It was a fun event, and a lot of people dressed up in the 1950's greaser style. Good music, cool cars, cold beer and cute girls make for a fun time.

And the obligatory hottie shot

Took these yesterday (not my car) at a local park. My daughter-in-law's boss left it in her care to get the windows tinted and keep an eye on it. It is a beautiful car and fast

Lol, does the boss know that the car is being taken out into fields??

I would crack up if it got stuck in a soft spot of mud.

ps did you get to hear any of those cars fire up?? I'm so amazed by the sounds of hot-rods.. and not to mention the full-out old drag cars I used to see when I used to drag-race. I mean the kind where when they're lined up behind you, you can't even hear your car, which has straight exhaust and no cats.. lol. The kind that shake the whole supporting structures when they rev.
